After creating your account and adding your entries to the system, you must pay your entry fee(s). Accepted payment methods are:
Each entry will consist of 3, 12 ounce capped bottles or corked bottles that are void of all identifying information, including labels and embossing. Printed caps are allowed, but must be blacked out completely. 22 oz bottles will not be accepted.
12oz brown glass bottles are preferred; however, green and clear glass will be accepted. Swing top bottles will likewise be accepted as well as corked bottles.
Bottles will not be returned to contest entrants.
Completed entry forms and recipe sheets must be submitted with all entries, and can be printed directly from this website. Entry forms should be attached to bottle labels by the method specified on the bottle label.
Please fill out the entry forms completely. Some sub categories require you to state special ingredients used or to specify the base style of the beer. Examples are Fruit Beer and Wood Aged Beer and Specialty Beer. Failure to note such information will not disqualify entries but may impact the ability of the judges to score entries properly.
Brewers are not limited to one entry in each category but may only enter each subcategory once.

Carefully pack your entries in a sturdy box. Line the inside of your carton with a plastic trash bag. Partition and pack each bottle with adequate packaging material. Please do not over pack!
Write clearly: Fragile. This Side Up. on the package. Please only use bubble wrap as your packing material.
Enclose each of your bottle labels in a small zip-top bag before attaching to their respective bottles. This way it makes it possible for the organizer to identify specifically which entry has broken if there is damage during shipment.
Every reasonable effort will be made to contact entrants whose bottles have broken to make arrangements for sending replacement bottles.
If you live in the United States, please note that it is illegal to ship your entries via the United States Postal Service (USPS). Private shipping companies have the right to refuse your shipment if they are informed that the package contains glass and/or alcoholic beverages. Be aware that entries mailed internationally are often required by customs to have proper documentation. These entries might be opened and/or returned to the shipper by customs officials at their discretion. It is solely your responsibility to follow all applicable laws and regulations.

Award to be announced!
Ribbons and score sheets will be handed out at the Humboldt Homebrew Festival.
Places will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category/table as long as there is an entry with a sufficient minimum score. The minimum score for an entry to place 3rd is 21, 2nd place 24 and 1st is 27.
Both score sheets and ribbons not collected the day of the festival will be available for pick up at Humboldt Beer Works during normal business hours following the festival. Results will be posted to the competition web site sometime after the festival.
